（1）Country Pick Quarterly Champions
  • The three participants with the best investment performance after each quarter will be recognized as Country Pick Quarterly Champions. There are four separate quarterly competitions, as follows:
  • Winter Competition: January 2010 to March 2010 (Entry closed December 29, 2009)
  • Spring Competition: April 2010 to June 2010 (Entry closed March 30, 2010)
  • Summer Competition: July 2010 to September 2010 (Deadline for entry: June 29, 2:00 a.m. EST)
  • Fall Competition: October 2010 to December 2010 (Deadline for entry: September 29, 2:00 a.m. EST)
  • The Country Pick Quarterly Champions will receive a certificate from Nikko Asset Management to commemorate their result.
  • While the deadline for entry into the Winter Competition has already passed, please register and create a portfolio by March 30, 2:00 a.m. EST in order to be eligible for the Spring, Summer, and Fall Competitions.
(2) Country Pick Yearly Champion
Annual competition: January 2010 to December 2010 (Entry closed December 29, 2009)
  • The three participants with the best investment performance after a year will be recognized as Country Pick Yearly Champions. The Country Pick Yearly Champions will receive a certificate from Nikko Asset Management to commemorate their result.
    In addition, participants deemed by Nikko Asset Management as all-round top performers may be asked to interview for the position of “Product Development Advisor”. Potential candidates will be evaluated on quantitative criteria, such as whether or not the participant took excessive risk; and qualitative criteria, such as the consistency of their investment philosophy, its durability, and the ability to replicate their investment strategy in practice. While candidates deemed eligible will be invited to an interview, other criteria, such as age restrictions, may apply. Nikko Asset Management plans to ask those chosen as Product Development Advisors to advise on new funds to be created in 2011. Advisors will be paid a salary appropriate to their position. However, taking all investment performances and strategies into account, Nikko Asset Management may deem that there are no eligible candidates.
